Google is launching Gemini for Home, a new AI-powered suite of features for smart home devices, replacing Google Assistant on all speakers. The upgrade will be available through Early Access first, with a broader rollout planned for next year.

A preview of the new Google Home speaker was also announced, featuring AI technology and priced at $99. It will be available in four colors and is set to launch in spring 2026.

Google plans to ensure Gemini reaches older device users before pushing for new purchases, allowing time to address any issues. Chief Product Officer Anish Kattukaran emphasized the choice to upgrade is optional for existing customers.
