The Financial Accounting Standards Board is prioritizing risk management, hedge accounting, alternative funding arrangements, and consolidation guidance based on stakeholder feedback. A recent meeting addressed the unresolved accounting challenges of crypto assets and the need for consistent financial statements. This effort is the first since 2021, following new standards set by the FASB Chair. Going forward, over 70 topics will be analyzed to determine high-priority technical agenda items for review next year. Feedback from stakeholders has been less concentrated than in 2021, with previous support for measuring crypto assets at fair value.
