IBM introduced the IBM Digital Asset Haven platform on Oct. 27, 2025, in partnership with Dfns for financial institutions, governments, and corporations. The platform manages digital asset operations and supports over 40 blockchains.

IBM Digital Asset Haven offers pre-integrated third-party services for identity verification and security. It incorporates multiple security layers, including Multi-Party Computation and IBM Crypto Express HSMs for key protection.

The platform features IBM Offline Signing Orchestrator for automated cold storage operations. It utilizes secure channels on IBM Z hardware to create a digital air gap between online and offline environments.

IBM enters a market with major cloud providers like Oracle, Microsoft, and Amazon offering competing blockchain services. The launch addresses concerns over reliability and centralized infrastructure, emphasized by a recent AWS outage.

Dfns, IBM’s technology partner, secured a $16 million Series A funding round in Jan. 2025, addressing the rising demand for secure digital asset storage. The platform aims to be available in Q4 2025 via SaaS and Hybrid SaaS, with on-premises deployment set for Q2 2026.
