KPIT Technologies has increased its ownership in N-Dream, a Swiss in-car gaming company, from 26% to almost 90% without disclosing financial terms. N-Dream’s AirConsole platform allows passengers to use smartphones as controllers for games on a vehicle’s infotainment screen, integrating sound and lighting, entering the automotive sector in 2022. KPIT aims to strengthen its position in the software-defined vehicle market by supporting N-Dream’s expansion into broader in-cabin digital experiences. N-Dream plans to develop new in-cabin software leveraging digital mobility expertise, while KPIT will provide technology competencies to deploy solutions across brands and markets. The acquisition will allow N-Dream to operate independently under KPIT’s ownership, maintaining its team and leadership, including CEO Anthony Cliquot, chief of innovation Andrin von Rechenberg, and CFO Tobias Schneider. KPIT recently launched a new software engineering center in Tunisia.
