Kyverna Therapeutics announced positive results from a Phase 1 trial of KYV-101 in patients with difficult-to-treat rheumatoid arthritis. The treatment led to a significant reduction in disease-associated autoantibodies and disease activity. KYV-101 showed a well-tolerated profile and promising outcomes in patients with autoimmune diseases. The trial compared KYV-101 to rituximab in patients with treatment-refractory RA, with six patients showing positive responses. These results support further study in rheumatoid arthritis, with a Phase 2 trial already underway. KYV-101 is a CD19 CAR T-cell therapy under investigation for B-cell-driven autoimmune diseases.
