Microsoft has promoted Judson Althoff as CEO of its commercial business, after leading the global sales organization for nine years and designing Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS).
Althoff, who joined from Oracle in 2013, will oversee the commercial business with Takeshi Numoto and his marketing team. Microsoft’s revenue is driven by productivity software subscriptions and cloud-based Nvidia chips for AI.
CEO Satya Nadella emphasized the importance of combining human capital with AI capabilities to drive growth and become the partner of choice for AI transformation.
