Mustang Energy Corp. has started its first diamond-drilling program at the Surprise Creek Uranium-Copper Project near Uranium City, Saskatchewan. The program will focus on priority targets along the Surprise Creek Fault Zone, with up to 2,000 meters of drilling planned to follow up on historical intercepts and test new targets from recent surveys.
The Surprise Creek Project is located near the historic Gunnar and Eldorado uranium mines, with surface samples returning assays of up to 7.98% U₃O₈ and significant copper prospects. Mustang holds an 80% interest in the project through an option agreement with Thunderbird Resources Ltd., with exploration approvals granted by the Saskatchewan Government.
CEO Nick Luksha expressed excitement for the drilling program, highlighting Mustang’s growth in acquiring land, securing permits, and forming partnerships. The company has raised over $8 million and traded more than 100 million shares, positioning them for significant growth as they explore high-priority targets at Surprise Creek.
