President Trump’s tariff threats against China caused the stock market to plummet. The Dow Jones fell 879 points, the S&P 500 dropped 2.7%, and the Nasdaq sank 3.6%. Indexes were doing well until Trump’s threat of increased tariffs in response to China’s export restrictions on rare earth minerals.
