CSX CEO Steve Angel has revamped the executive team a month into his role at the railroad. Kevin Boone is the new CFO, replacing Sean Pelkey. Maryclare Kenney has been promoted to senior VP and chief commercial officer. Angel praised their expertise and track records in a statement.
Boone, who joined CSX in 2017, has held key leadership roles, including a two-year tenure as CFO. Kenney has been a leader in commercial operations for nearly 14 years, overseeing various departments. Angel expressed excitement about working with them to enhance CSX’s performance in the industry.
Pelkey, who had been with CSX since 2005, served as CFO starting in 2021. Angel thanked him for his service. Angel took over as CEO on Sept. 29, succeeding Joe Hinrichs. The changes come as CSX aims to strengthen its leadership team and operational success in the railroad industry.
