NiSource Inc. (NI) announced an At-The-Market offering of common shares worth $1.5 billion, with a par value of $0.01 per share. The proceeds will be used to pay down debts, for working capital, and general corporate purposes. This offering replaces a previous $900 million equity program and includes around $47.5 million of unsold stock. NiSource has agreements with major firms like Barclays and Goldman Sachs as sales agents. In pre-market trading, NiSource shares are up 1.72% at $42.55 on the NYSE.
