Polymarket has launched a prediction market focused on Pump.fun, a Solana-based meme coin launchpad. Users can bet on whether Pump.fun’s token, PUMP, will hit a new all-time high by December 31, 2025. The market currently shows even odds, reflecting uncertainty about Pump.fun’s sustainability despite its rapid growth.

Pump.fun has created over 7 million tokens since early 2024, with nearly 13 million of Solana’s 32 million tokens launched through the platform. These tokens represent a $4.8 billion market value, with Pump.fun earning close to $500 million in fees. The platform’s success has positively impacted the Solana ecosystem.

Pump.fun’s revenue peaked at $13.48 million in a week recently, with $120 million generated in fees over the past 30 days. Daily activity remains robust, with $134.3 million in trading volume, 114,457 active addresses, and $1.29 million in fees collected in the last 24 hours. However, concerns persist about the high percentage of Pump.fun tokens classified as scams.

Pump.fun’s token, PUMP, launched through an ICO in July, raising $500 million in under 12 minutes. Although it reached an all-time high of $0.008819, it currently trades at $0.007028, up 75% in the past 30 days. The introduction of Polymarket’s prediction market adds a new layer to the narrative, reflecting both confidence and caution in Pump.fun’s growth.

The platform recently announced Project Ascend, introducing a new fee structure to enhance token sustainability. This move, along with other upgrades and partnerships, has boosted PUMP’s performance. Institutional interest is growing, with Fitell Corporation acquiring 216.8 million PUMP tokens. Technical indicators suggest positive momentum, hinting at increased investor demand for PUMP.

PUMP, currently trading near $0.0066, seeks to maintain support at $0.0062, with targets of $0.0077 and $0.0090 if buying pressure continues. Despite its success, Pump.fun faces scrutiny over the sustainability of its tokens and ecosystem.
