Rio Tinto Plc reported a slight decrease in Pilbara iron ore shipments for the third quarter of 2025, but an increase in production compared to the previous year. The company’s Chief Executive expressed confidence in meeting production guidance for the year and emphasized mid-term growth prospects. Despite a 13 Mt impact from cyclones in the first quarter, Rio Tinto expects iron ore shipments for 2025 to be at the lower end of the guidance range. Additionally, bauxite production guidance has been upgraded due to operational excellence, and copper production remains on track to meet full-year guidance.
