French drug major Sanofi reported slightly lower profit in the third quarter, with net sales benefiting from strong growth in Dupixent, reaching over 4 billion euros in sales. For fiscal 2025, Sanofi expects sales to grow by a high single-digit percentage. The company confirmed a strong business earnings per share rebound with growth at a low double-digit percentage. In the third quarter, net income dropped to 2.80 billion euros, while business net income increased by 4 percent to 3.55 billion euros. Net sales grew by 2.3 percent to 12.43 billion euros, with Dupixent sales climbing by 26.2 percent to 4.2 billion euros.
Sanofi’s CEO, Paul Hudson, stated the company will strategically deploy capital towards growth and differentiated science for profitable growth in 2026. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations were 2.32 euros, higher than last year. Research and Development expenses decreased by 4.9 percent, while selling, general, and administrative expenses increased by 7.1 percent to support launches. Sanofi also plans to complete its 5 billion euros share buyback program in 2025, with 86.1 percent executed to date.
