Tech stocks saw a decline, impacting the S&P 500. The Nasdaq dropped 0.3%, while the S&P 500 barely rose by 0.1%. The Dow, however, climbed 316 points, or 0.7%. Despite hitting intraday record highs, the indexes need to finish higher for record closing highs. The rally lacked momentum due to the delayed nonfarm payrolls report for September.
