U.S. stock futures dipped slightly on Friday, as the market struggled with uncertainty over the government shutdown. Dow Jones futures were up 10 points, S&P 500 futures fell 0.1%, and Nasdaq 100 futures decreased by the same amount.

The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note dropped 3 basis points to 4.11%. The dollar weakened by 0.2% against a basket of currencies, while gold futures climbed 0.9% to $4,010 per ounce.
