Viasat will provide its InRange launch telemetry solution for Skyrora’s demonstration launches, supported by the European and UK Space Agencies. Skyrora recently received a launch license, aiming for up to 16 launches per year by 2030. InRange ensures continuous telemetry data flow during rocket flight, using Viasat’s L-band geostationary satellites. The project, funded by the European Space Agency, will integrate InRange with Skyrora’s Skylark L launch vehicle. Viasat’s new HaloNet portfolio supports space-to-ground communication, with plans to work with NASA, JAXA, and Mitsubishi’s H3 launch vehicle. Todd McDonell of Viasat and Volodymyr Levykin of Skyrora expressed excitement for the project’s potential impact on the UK space sector.
