A mysterious entity claimed 60% of the recent aPriori (APR) token airdrop across 14,000 interconnected cryptocurrency wallets, resembling a Sybil-style farming operation. aPriori denies team involvement in the claim, stating no evidence of foundation or team members claiming the airdrop. Bubblemaps CEO Nick Vaiman criticizes aPriori’s initial response as “dismissive.”

To reward “genuine users,” aPriori has adjusted the parameters of the incoming Monad airdrop allocation. The unlock on the airdrop allocation has been increased from 12% to 15%. Users can claim 3% more of their airdrop when the Monad mainnet goes live on Nov. 24. The remaining 85% will be claimable six months after the mainnet launch.

Crypto investors are divided over aPriori’s announcement, with some expressing skepticism over the lack of details in the internal investigation. Others support the aPriori team, attributing the issue to professional airdrop farmers. These farmers interact with emerging protocols solely for airdrop rewards, often using multiple wallets to maximize rewards.
