ASSA ABLOY acquires American steel door frame maker, International Door Products (IDP), to strengthen its position in mature markets. The acquisition is expected to boost ASSA ABLOY’s earnings. IDP, founded in 1977, is based in Southfield, Michigan, with sales of $29 million in 2024. CEO Nico Delvaux stated, “This acquisition delivers on our strategy to add complementary products and solutions to our core business.”
