Oracle Corporation has been named one of the 15 Best Long Term Stocks to Buy According to Reddit. Baird has lowered Oracle’s price target to $315 while maintaining an Outperform rating due to concerns about AI initiatives and debt levels.
In its fiscal Q1 report, Oracle posted revenue of $14 billion, with a 12% increase year over year. The company also reported a 359% increase in remaining performance obligations, reaching $455 billion, indicating strong revenue and earnings growth potential.
Oracle has raised its fiscal 2029 revenue forecast to $185 billion and projects $225 billion in fiscal 2030, with an annual growth rate of 31% from fiscal 2025. Non-GAAP earnings are expected to grow 28% per year, reaching $21 per share by fiscal 2030.
Despite positive projections, Oracle’s stock has dropped over 29% in the past month. Concerns revolve around the company’s $111 billion debt, plans to raise an additional $38 billion for AI infrastructure expansion, and dependence on OpenAI for revenue.
Oracle provides enterprise software, cloud computing, and database management systems to help businesses manage data, applications, and IT infrastructure. However, some investors believe other AI stocks offer greater upside potential with less downside risk than Oracle.
