Changpeng Zhao denies involvement in proposed crypto-friendly bank in Kyrgyzstan, despite President Japarov’s claims. CZ clarified in a post that he never proposed such a bank and has no interest in running one. He did, however, reveal in April that he was advising Kyrgyzstan on blockchain and crypto-related matters.

Since taking on the advisory role, CZ has been involved in various crypto initiatives in Kyrgyzstan. In October, the country introduced a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the Kyrgyzstani som, which CZ announced would run on BNB Chain. He also mentioned that BNB could be included in the country’s crypto reserve. Additionally, Kyrgyzstan is integrating Binance Academy with local universities and localizing the Binance app nationwide.
