Yukon Metals Corp. announces results from the 2025 drill program at the Birch Copper-Gold Project, showing a 500m lateral extension to skarn mineralization. Two drill holes returned significant copper grades, with high-grade intervals of 1.12% and 0.89% Cu, confirming the lateral continuity of the skarn system.
The 2025 drill program at Birch consisted of 1,685m of HQ diamond drill core in six holes off 4 pads. Highlights include Hole BR25-002 returning 10.1m of 0.21% Cu (0.30% CuEq) and Hole BR25-004 intersecting 16.0m of 0.20% Cu (0.28% CuEq), demonstrating the presence of copper and gold-bearing skarn horizons.
Yukon Metals owns the Birch project located 65km northeast of Burwash Landing, dominated by frost-heaved boulders in unglaciated terrain. The project lies within the Finlayson assemblage of the Yukon-Tanana Terrane, with schists, marbles, and intrusive rocks present. Drill pad construction and drilling services were done by local contractors in partnership with Yukon-based companies.
All diamond drill core from the 2025 program at Birch was logged, photographed, and sawn in half for geochemical analysis. Samples were sent to ALS Minerals for analysis, and control samples were included for quality assurance. The project shows prospectivity for a gold-rich copper system, highlighting the Yukon’s potential for fresh mining opportunities.
Yukon Metals Corp. is a well-financed exploration company with a 17-project portfolio covering over 43,000 hectares. The company is focused on advancing high-priority drill targets at the Birch and AZ copper-gold systems and the Star River gold-silver project.
