Renault Group CEO François Provost suggests freezing automotive regulations in Europe for 10-15 years to support the emergence of small electric vehicles up to 4.2 meters long. Manufacturers aim to bring small electric cars priced between 15,000 and 20,000 euros to the market, creating a regulatory framework to facilitate this goal.

European Commissioner for Industry Stephane Sejourne announced plans to include the new regulatory framework for small electric cars in the Commission’s announcements on December 10. This move is part of a strategy to support European carmakers and stimulate competition in the market.
