Google, under Alphabet Inc, is investing $15 billion to build an AI hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project, set for 2026-2030, will include AI infrastructure, data centers, increased energy capacity, and subsea cable gateways.

The investment aims to promote AI use, align with India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, and enhance tech collaboration between the U.S. and India. It’s expected to contribute $15 billion to the U.S. GDP, offer low-latency AI services, boost digital connectivity, and foster innovation for businesses, researchers, and startups in India.

GOOG is currently trading at $318.87 on the Nasdaq, down $1.41 or 0.44 percent.
