Intact Financial Corp reported a profit of C$861 million, or C$4.73 per share for the third quarter, exceeding Street estimates and showing an increase from last year’s C$212 million, or C$1.06 per share. Analysts had predicted earnings of C$4.21 per share. Operating direct premiums written were C$6.643 billion, up from C$6.207 billion a year ago.
