Jubilee Metals in Zambia reported a 65% increase in copper production to 938 tonnes in Q1 FY2026, driven by Roan concentrator and Molefe mine deliveries. The company aims to deliver 8,500t of high-grade ore in Q2, with updated full-year production guidance of 4,500–5,100t, contingent on rainy season impact.

The Roan concentrator produced 917t of copper contained in concentrate, benefiting from stable power supply and reliable ore quality. Molefe mine delivered 1,122t of ore to Sable in the quarter, with production ramping up to meet targets of 3,500t in October and aiming for 4,500t by November.

Jubilee Metals also reported 215 lost-time-injury-free days during the quarter. CEO Leon Coetzer highlighted the successful expansion of the Molefe mine and operational stability. The company’s focus for the remainder of FY2026 is on driving the copper strategy and ensuring operational stability amidst potential rainy season impacts.

In August 2024, Jubilee Metals reported the first production of copper concentrate from the front-end module at its Roan concentrator plant. This news was originally reported by Mining Technology, a GlobalData owned brand.
