Kontoor Brands saw revenue increase to $853m in Q3, up 27%, with a $2m impact from shipment timing. Operating income dropped 35% to $64m, while adjusted income rose 14% to $122m. Net income fell 48% to $37m, CEO Scott Baxter noted strong results from expanded brands.
Wrangler’s global revenue reached $471m, up 2%, with US sales up 1%. Lee’s global revenue dropped 8% to $187m, impacted by inventory management actions in China. Helly Hansen’s global revenue was $193m, with Sport and Workwear sales at $143m and $42m, respectively. Musto brand revenue was $7m.
Kontoor Brands raised their revenue outlook to $3.09-$3.12bn, an increase of 19-20%. Adjusted gross margin is expected to be 46.4%, operating income around $449m, and EPS approximately $5.50. Cash from operations is forecasted to reach $400m. CEO Baxter highlighted strong revenue and earnings growth.
Baxter expressed confidence in Kontoor Brands’ outlook, expecting dynamic near-term environment. The company’s strong fundamentals, operational execution, and capital allocation are set to drive value creation for shareholders. The company’s full-year outlook was raised to reflect stronger revenue, earnings growth, and cash generation.
