Marriott has ended its licensing agreement with Sonder, a lodging rentals company, due to alleged violations of brand standards. Sonder operates over 300 properties worldwide and had recently raised $170 million in funding. The termination will impact around 2,000 properties within Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio. Marriott is now seeking new partners to fill the void left by Sonder.
