Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Anthropic have formed strategic partnerships to scale Anthropic’s Claude AI model on Microsoft Azure, powered by NVIDIA. Anthropic commits to purchasing $30 billion of Azure compute capacity and up to 1 gigawatt of additional capacity. NVIDIA and Anthropic will collaborate on optimizing models for performance and efficiency.

Microsoft and Anthropic are expanding their partnership to give Azure AI Foundry customers access to Claude models like Sonnet 4.5 and Opus 4.1. This makes Claude the only frontier LLM model on major cloud services. Microsoft will continue to support Claude across Copilot products. NVIDIA and Microsoft will invest up to $10 billion and $5 billion in Anthropic, respectively.
