Italian payments group Nexi is no longer obligated to buy Sabadell’s retailers’ payments unit due to changing market conditions. Nexi is open to discussing a new deal with Sabadell. Sabadell had postponed the sale due to a failed hostile takeover by BBVA. The original deal was for up to 350 million euros. Sabadell declined to comment on the matter.
