Northfield Capital Corporation and Juno Corp. welcome the signing of the Community Partnership Agreement between Marten Falls First Nation and the Province of Ontario. This Agreement will advance the Marten Falls Community Access Road and priority community infrastructure investments, unlocking responsible development in Ontario’s Ring of Fire mineral district. The proposed road will provide all-season access to Marten Falls, currently accessible only by air or winter road. The Agreement includes up to $39.5 million for community infrastructure and supports the development of the road. Webequie and Marten Falls First Nations are now advancing infrastructure development in partnership with the Province. Juno Corp. holds extensive mineral claims in the Ring of Fire and has made significant discoveries in the area.

The Marten Falls Community Access Road is part of the Northern Road Link infrastructure plan connecting key communities in the region. The Agreement with Marten Falls First Nation includes submitting an environmental assessment for the road by February 2026, with construction potentially starting by August 2026. Premier Doug Ford stated that unlocking the critical minerals in the Ring of Fire could create 70,000 new jobs in Ontario.
