Oil futures took a hit after EIA report showed a 5.2 million barrel increase in U.S. crude oil inventories. The rise in imports offset previous week’s draw, leading to extended losses in afternoon trade. Gasoline stocks fell more than expected, down by 4.7 million barrels in fifth straight weekly decline. Distillate stocks also fell by 643,000 barrels, marking a fifth consecutive weekly decrease.
