Deel appoints Joe Kauffman as president and CFO, hinting at possible IPO next year. The California-based startup, valued at $17.3 billion, aims for further expansion after 13 deals in six years. Kauffman, with two IPOs under his belt, eyes a hat-trick with Deel.

Kauffman’s background includes stints at New Oriental Education & Technology Group, TAL Education Group, and Credit Karma. He drove Credit Karma’s revenue to $2.3 billion. Deel, currently in litigation with Rippling, crossed $100 million monthly revenue in September.

Deel generates $15-17 million in EBITDA, focusing on top-line growth and reinvestment. The startup, founded in 2019, offers international hiring, contractor engagement, and payroll services. Recent executive hires include Harish Sharma, Anthony Luis Rodriguez, and DeAnn Work.
