Coinbase is reportedly developing a prediction markets platform website, backed by Kalshi. Screenshots shared by tech researcher Jane Manchun Wong show Coinbase Financial Markets offering the service. The platform will allow users to use USDC or USD, with events covering economics, sports, science, politics, and technology.

Coinbase announced plans to offer prediction markets as part of its “everything exchange” vision. Partnering with Kalshi, the exchange will act as the custodian for USDC-based event contracts. Prediction markets have gained popularity, with platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket seeing a surge in volumes.

Coinbase’s move into prediction markets follows its rivals’ footsteps. Crypto.com launched a prediction markets platform integrated with Trump Media. Gemini is also developing a prediction markets platform as part of its “super app” initiative, filing to become a designated contract market with the CFTC.
