Sharp Corp. reported improved earnings in the first half of the fiscal year 2026, with a 98.1% increase in profit attributable to shareholders. Basic earnings per share also nearly doubled, reaching 70.05 yen. Operating profit rose to 28.95 billion yen. However, net sales declined by 13.3% to 950.34 billion yen. For the full fiscal year, Sharp raised its earnings guidance, expecting basic earnings per share of 81.63 yen and profit attributable to shareholders of 53 billion yen. Sales projections remain at 1.870 trillion yen. The company’s shares closed 1.46% higher on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
