Singapore’s Temasek Holdings invested in WeRide and Pony.ai, buying shares worth US$13.7 million in the third quarter. Temasek also holds positions in other autonomous driving firms like Einride and Autobrains. WeRide and Pony.ai began trading in Hong Kong after going public in the US in 2024.

Temasek’s US securities investments totaled US$29 billion, with US$2 billion in 16 US-listed Chinese stocks. The company focused on forward-looking technologies to deliver higher returns to shareholders. Temasek also acquired shares in Tencent Music, VNET Group, and boosted holdings in e-commerce firms.

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund sold all its Chinese holdings in the third quarter, reducing its US equity portfolio to 6 holdings worth US$19 billion. Major US fund managers, like Oaktree Capital Management, were cautious on China, selling shares in KE Holdings and exiting positions in Alibaba and H World Group.

Oaktree Capital Management increased positions in Kanzhun and holdings in Li Auto, JD.com, and Trip.com. The fund sold KE Holdings shares and exited positions in Alibaba bonds and H World Group bonds. US fund managers recalibrated positions in Chinese investments last quarter, reflecting caution towards the market.
