Toppan has installed a hybrid manufacturing line in India capable of producing BOPP and BOPE films. The line, operated by Toppan Speciality Films Private Limited, will start mass production in mid-November 2025. This initiative will increase TSF’s film production capacity by 40%, meeting the growing demand for sustainable packaging in India and international markets. The move aligns with India’s Plastic Waste Management Rules and EPR obligations, aiming to increase annual sales volume to 33,000t by 2027. Toppan plans to expand its product range to include high-barrier GL BARRIER films and develop new films with improved properties. The company’s initiative supports the shift to recyclable packaging materials in Europe and aligns with rising demand for sustainable packaging solutions.
