UniCredit launches Premium One, its inaugural life insurance product managed internally. The move aims to strengthen in-house fund management and boost insurance operations. The policy targets wealth management and private banking clients in Italy, investing in internal insurance funds managed by UniCredit’s onemarkets Fund team for higher returns.
UniCredit Life Insurance, formed this year after acquiring full control over JVs with CNP Assurances and Allianz, offers the new policy. CNP UniCredit Vita is now UniCredit Life Insurance (ULI), and UniCredit Allianz Vita is now UniCredit Vita Assicurazioni (UVA). Alessandro Santoliquido leads both entities, with plans to merge ULI and UVA by 2026 to create a new bancassurance provider focused on life policies in Italy, targeting unit-linked and term life insurance markets.
