Walmart Inc. is America’s largest retailer but ranks as the worst in customer satisfaction and company reputation according to two surveys. The American Customer Satisfaction Index survey of 41,850 customers ranked Walmart poorly in the supermarket, online retailer, and general merchandise categories.
In the Axios Harris Poll 100, Walmart dropped two spots to 81st out of 100 companies with a reputation score of 68.3. The survey of 6,231 Americans aimed to understand public perception of companies, with Walmart trailing behind retailers like Target, CVS, and Costco.
Walmart’s poor performance in customer satisfaction and reputation surveys raises questions about its ability to reach a $1 trillion valuation. The company faces challenges in multiple categories and must address customer concerns to improve its standing in the market.
