Investors were disappointed with Bruker’s reduced 2025 guidance despite a double beat in quarterly earnings. Revenue for the third quarter was almost $861 million, down 0.5% from the previous year. The company reported a net loss of $62 million compared to a $41 million profit in 2024. Analysts had expected revenue of $847 million and adjusted net income of $0.33 per share.
Bruker credited bookings in academic, government, and biotech sectors for its performance. The company’s stock fell nearly 1% after the earnings report, dipping as much as 3.9% earlier in the trading session. Bruker is now forecasting revenue of $3.41 billion to $3.44 billion for 2025, down from $3.37 billion in 2024. Adjusted net income guidance has also been reduced to $1.85 to $1.90 per share from $2.41 in 2024.
