Woodside Energy Group Ltd has signed a cooperation agreement with Timor-Leste to develop a Timor-based LNG concept for the Greater Sunrise gas fields. The plan targets first LNG production between 2032 to 2035, with a capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum. The agreement includes plans for a domestic gas facility and a helium extraction plant. Activities will focus on commercial and technical maturation, running alongside negotiations with governments. Woodside Energy’s shares closed 0.12% higher at AUD 25.11 on the Australian Securities Exchange.
