Air Products and Yara International are teaming up to create a low-emission hydrogen and ammonia production network. Air Products is developing a large energy complex in Louisiana, capturing 95% of CO2 emissions. Yara will acquire 25% of the project assets once the plant meets performance targets. 80% of the hydrogen will go to Yara for ammonia production, with the rest serving Air Products’ customers. The NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia, expected to start in 2027, will see Air Products as the sole offtaker of renewable ammonia. A marketing and distribution agreement is set to be finalized by mid-2026.
