Airlines are allowing travelers to change their flights ahead of a major winter storm expected to hit New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island. Snowfall totals could reach up to 9 inches, prompting American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue Airways, and others to waive change fees for certain tickets. Passengers must fly by the end of the year, with limited availability during the Christmas week. Airlines for America predicts a record 52.6 million travelers between Dec. 19 and Jan. 5, with this Friday and Sunday being the busiest days.
