Apple Inc. announced that John Giannandrea, Senior VP for Machine Learning and AI Strategy, will step down and transition to an advisory role before retiring in spring 2026. Amar Subramanya will take over as the new VP of AI, bringing experience from roles at Microsoft and Google. Subramanya will oversee Apple Foundation Models and AI safety. Parts of Giannandrea’s team will move to Sabih Khan and Eddy Cue. AAPL closed trading at $283.10, up 1.52%.
