Aura Minerals Inc. has announced the results of the Feasibility Study for the Era Dorada Project in Guatemala. The underground gold mine is expected to produce 111 koz GEO for the first 4 years. The total production over the 16.8-year Life of Mine is estimated to be approximately 1.75 million GEO. The project has an after-tax Net Present Value of US$1,344.5 million.

The Era Dorada Project is located in southeast Guatemala near the town of Asunción Mita. The project site is accessible year-round via the Pan-American Highway. The climate is tropical dry forest with an annual rainfall of 1,350 mm. The project plans to hire locally and has an estimated initial implementation capex of US$382 million.

The Era Dorada deposit is considered a classic mesothermal/orogenic gold deposit. The mineralization types are controlled by regional structures with disseminated free gold and gold associated with sulphide mineralization. The deposit has been drilled extensively, with a total of 303 diamond drill holes and 921 reverse circulation holes drilled.

The mineral resource estimate for Era Dorada is based on continuity and underground mining shapes. The mineral resource estimate is reported on a 100% ownership basis and includes Indicated and Inferred resources. The mineral reserves have an effective date of November 30, 2025, and are estimated using metal prices of US$2,000/oz Au and US$25/oz Ag.

The Era Dorada Project will be accessed via two existing main declines servicing the South and North zones. Sublevels will be spaced 20 m vertically, and a panel geometry will be adopted for mining. The mine infrastructure includes mine dewatering from the surface and modular refrigeration plants to ensure suitable working conditions underground.

The mine plan for Era Dorada includes underground mining methods such as sublevel long hole stoping and mechanized cut-and-fill. Long hole stoping is expected to contribute approximately 98.5% of total metal production. The mine scheduling targets a production rate of 1,600 tonnes per day over an 18-year period.

The processing plant for Era Dorada will consist of a one-stage crushing circuit, SAG mill, ball mill, leach, CIP, and electrowinning circuit. The process plant is designed to operate with two shifts per day and 365 days per year. The plant is expected to produce doré bars.
