Aya Gold & Silver Inc. has filed an updated NI 43-101 Technical Report for the Zgounder Deposit, revealing an extended Life of Mine (LOM) plan until 2036. Key highlights include average annual silver production of 6 million ounces over the next 11 years, with updated Proven & Probable Mineral Reserves and Mineral Resource Estimates.
The updated mine plan is based on a capital-efficient open-pit strategy, targeting underground zones, resulting in a net reserve growth. Mineral Reserves now stand at 73 Moz Ag at 145 g/t, with a 4% increase in Ag ounces. Measured & Indicated Resources show 100 Moz Ag at 165 g/t, a 5% increase in total Ag ounces.
Extensive drilling and structural studies have strengthened the geological model, boosting confidence in the resource model and mine plan. The updated interpretation includes 64% of all drilling done on the property to date, improving the reliability of the model and mine plan.
The LOM plan for Zgounder includes a mix of mining methods, with cut-and-fill and longhole stope mining planned. Open-pit mining will continue until 2036, with average production of 6.2 Moz from 2026 through 2036. Silver recovery is estimated at 91.5%, with average operating costs of $69.47/t processed.
The updated Technical Report reflects a net increase in P&P Reserves of 2.5 Moz Ag and an overall increase of 5.0 Moz in M&I Resources. The updated estimates incorporate dilution assumptions, enhanced geological interpretations, and updated estimation methods, providing a more accurate representation of the deposit’s geometry and grade profile.
