Trading in tokenized equities, digital stocks on a blockchain, has seen a 32% increase in monthly transfer volumes to $1.45B. Prediction markets, where users bet on event outcomes, have also grown rapidly, attracting interest from traditional and crypto exchanges.
Gemini, founded by the Winklevoss twins, secured approval from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission to launch its prediction platform, Gemini Titan, for American customers. The platform will offer event contracts structured as simple yes or no questions. This move reflects the increasing popularity and potential of prediction markets in the digital finance sector.
