Cotton futures are up by 15 to 17 points midday on Monday. Crude oil futures are down 80 cents per barrel at $56.69, while the US dollar index is at $98.320, a decrease of $0.074.
Export Sales data for cotton shows 148,396 RB in sales for the week ending November 20, with shipments at 120,825 RB. CFTC report shows a reduction of 2,086 contracts in net short positions to 58,243 contracts on November 18.
Online auction results from The Seam indicate sales of 8,516 bales at an average price of 59.57 cents/lb. The Cotlook A Index is down 25 points at 73.95 cents on December 12. ICE certified cotton stocks remain steady at 13,971 bales on December 11.
Cotton prices for March, May, and July 2026 contracts are up by 16 and 17 points respectively. Adjusted World Price for cotton is updated to 50.39 cents/lb, down 89 points from the previous week.
