Cotton futures closed higher on Monday, with Mar 26 Cotton up 11 points, May 26 Cotton up 15 points, and Jul 26 Cotton up 16 points. Crude oil futures were down 79 cents per barrel, and the US dollar index was also lower. CFTC data showed spec funds increasing their net short position. Export Sales data revealed a 3-week low in cotton sales but an increase in shipments. ICE certified cotton stocks remained steady on December 11.
