The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) has launched the ESRS Knowledge Hub, an online platform for sustainability reporting. It aims to assist practitioners, companies, and stakeholders in understanding and applying the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and EFRAG sustainability reporting materials.

The hub consolidates various ESRS-related materials, including the adopted 2023 ESRS, the simplified ESRS endorsed by EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board (SRB) in November 2025, the VSME standard, and implementation guidance. It also offers access to EU legislation, global standards, and updates from EFRAG SRB and EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group meetings.

EFRAG plans to provide interactive access for the simplified ESRS once approved by the European Commission. The ESRS Knowledge Hub includes historical documents, external references, and aims to enhance transparency and usability of ESRS materials for consistent implementation.

The launch of the ESRS Knowledge Hub is a significant milestone in the sustainability reporting landscape, according to EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board chair Patrick de Cambourg. The platform aims to provide a comprehensive, reliable, and user-oriented resource for stakeholders to enhance transparency and consistent implementation of ESRS.

In October 2025, EFRAG expanded the VSME Digital Template and XBRL Taxonomy with a translation tool for multiple European languages. Users can now create Inline XBRL reports in Spanish, Polish, Lithuanian, Portuguese, and English using the new feature.
