Fury Gold Mines Limited announces an initial inferred mineral resource estimate for the La Pointe Extension target on its Sakami gold project in Quebec. The estimate includes 825,000 ounces at a discovery cost of less than C$9/oz. The project, acquired less than a year ago, shows significant growth potential for the company.
The mineral resource estimate was prepared by SGS Geological Services and includes 23,887,000 tonnes at a grade of 1.078 g/t, containing 825,000 ounces of gold. The estimate is based on 17,719m of total drilling conducted by Quebec Precious Metals and Fury.
The La Pointe Extension resource is open in all directions, with potential to expand to the northeast and southwest. An exploration target opportunity suggests an additional 8.1Mt to 14.7Mt of gold between 1.57 g/t Au and 1.11 g/t Au. The project, located in Quebec, holds strong potential for future growth.
The Sakami project covers 14,250 hectares and straddles a geological sub-province contact where gold mineralization has been identified. Recent drilling at La Pointe Extension confirmed broad zones of gold mineralization, prompting a technical report to be prepared for further exploration.
The company, Fury Gold Mines Limited, is a Canadian-focused exploration company with an 11.3 million common share position in Dolly Varden Silver Corp. Led by a team with proven success in advancing exploration assets, Fury aims to grow its gold platform through rigorous evaluation and exploration excellence.
